How to create a shortcut on your Blackberry

1. Phone shortcuts

  • To insert a plus sign (+) when typing a phone number, press O.
  • To activate the speaker phone during a call, press the Speaker phone.
  • To turn off the speaker phone during a call, press again the button Speaker phone.
  • To listen wired headphones with the call, press the Speaker phone.
  • To stop listening to the call with wired headphones, press again the button Speaker phone.
  • To move a phone number, in the phone application, click your active phone number. Click a phone number.
  • To change Your ring tone, in the phone application, press the Menu button. Click Set Ring Tone.
  • To check your voice messages, press and hold 1.
  • To send an incoming call to voice mail when the device is inserted in the holster, press and hold the Volume button down.
  • To see a list of your contacts in the phone application, press and hold the send key.
  • To set a speed dial number to a contact, on the screen origin in the phone application, press and hold a button you want to assign for speed dial.
  • To add an extension to a phone number, press the Alt key and type the extension number X..
  • To type the extension in the phone number field, press the Alt key and the letter key.

2. Message shortcuts

In a message

  • To reply to a message, press R.
  • To reply to all in an email message or PIN message, press L.
  • To view the email address of a contact, highlight the contact in the to or from. Press Q.
  • To view the display name, press Q again.
  • To move to the last cursor position after closing and reopening a message or PIN message has been received, press G.
  • To forward a message, press f.
  • To save a file to an email message that is highlighted, press I.

In the message list

  • To view the messages sent, press the Alt key and the O.
  • To view voice mail messages, press the Alt key and V.
  • To view SMS text messages, press the Alt key and the S.
  • To view call logs, press the Alt and P.
  • To view all your messages, press the Escape key.
  • To open the highlighted message, press the Enter key.
  • To create a message from a message list, press C.
  • To mark a message as opened or unopened, press the Alt and U.
  • To view the received message and received call log, press the Alt key and I.

Switching the message list

  • To move to the unopened item, press U.
  • To move to the next related message, press J.
  • To move to the previous related message, press K.
  • To go up one screen, press the Shift key and the Space key.
  • To go down one screen, press Space.
  • To move to the top of the list of messages, press T.
  • To move to the bottom of the message list, press B.
  • To move to the next date, press N.
  • To move to the previous date, press P.

3. Camera and video camera shortcuts

Depending on Your BlackBerry ® device, camera or video camera feature might not be supported.

  • To photograph, press the Right Practical.
  • To change the Flash mode for pictures or to enable less-light mode for videos, press Space.
  • To enlarge the target prior to photographing, press the Volume up.
  • To minimize the target prior to photographing, press the Volume down.

4. Media shortcuts

  • To stop the video or song, press the Clamming. To resume playing a video or song, press again the button Clamming.
  • To play the next song in a category, press N.
  • To play the previous song in a category, press P.
  • To play the next song in the playlist, press and hold the Volume up.
  • To play the previous song in the playlist, press and hold the Volume button down.
  • To enable the audio amplifier to amplify the volume of songs, ring tones, and videos, press the Volume go up until you reach the highest volume setting, then press the Volume button rapidly Ascended four times.
  • To move to the top in a picture, press 2.
  • To move down in a picture, press 8.
  • To move to the right in a picture, press 6.
  • To move to the left in a picture, press 4.
  • To return to the middle of the picture, press 5.
  • To enlarge a picture, press 3. To restore the original picture size, press 7.
  • To zoom out the picture, press 9. To restore the original picture size, press 7.
  • To rotate a picture, press L.
  • So that the image fits the screen size, press 1.

5. Typing shortcuts

  • To insert a Space, press the point twice. The next letter being uppercase.
  • To change the uppercase, so hold the button until the letters uppercase.
  • To type in the character's replacement on the key, press the Alt key and the character button
  • To type special or accented characters, hold down the trackball and turn the letters to the left or to the right. For example, to type ü, hold U and turn the trackball to the left until ü appears. Release the button the letter when accented characters or special has emerged.
  • To type a number in the number field, press the number keys. You do not need to press the Alt key.
  • To type a number in the text field, hold the Alt key and press the number keys.
  • To enable NUM lock, press the Alt key and the left Shift key. To turn off NUM lock, press the Shift key.
  • To activate your CAP lock, press the Alt and right Shift keys. To turn off the CAP lock, press the Shift key.

Insert symbol

  • To insert a mark (NAE) or period (.) in the email address field, press the Space key.
  • To type a symbol, press the symbol. Type the letter that appears below the symbol.

Using text

  • To highlight the line of text, press the Shift key and turn the trackball up or down.
  • To highlight text character for the sake of the character, hold down Shift and rotate the trackball to the left or to the right.
  • To cancel a text selection, press Escape.
  • To cut the highlighted text when typing, press the Shift key and the Backspace/Delete key.
  • To copy the highlighted text when typing, press the Alt key and click the trackball.
  • To paste highlighted text when typing, press the Shift key and click the trackball.

6. Shortcut searches

  • To search for a contact in the contacts list, type the contact name or initials separated by a space.
  • To search for text in a message, press S.
  • To search for text in an attachment or on a web page, press f.
  • To search for text in a presentation, you should see the presentation in text or in text or in a slide show. Press F.

7. Browser shortcuts

  • To insert a period (.) in the web address field, press the Space key.
  • To insert a slash (/) in the web address field, press the Shift key and the Space key.
  • To stop loading a web page, press the Escape key.
  • To close the browser, press and hold down the Escape.

On a web page

  • To switch between the display of columns and page view, press Z.
  • To zoom a web page, press I.

  • To view the Web page address of a link, highlight that link. Press L.
  • To see the address of a Web page, press P.
  • To follow a link, highlight or stop in at that link. Press the Enter key.
  • To hide the banner, press U to view the banner, press U.
  • To open the browser option, in browsers, press S.

Down the web page

* To go up one screen, press the Shift key and the Space key.

* To go down one screen, press Space.

* To move to the top of a web page, press T.

* To move to the bottom of a web page, press B.
